Suomi-neito on nyt aikuinen rouva. The Finnish maiden is now a grown-up lady. She’s older; richer; has developed a strong taste and never the less… She’s very, very independent.
The idea was originally to portray my friend and rope artist Tinttu Henttonen, whose roots are in Lapland. It became a modernized version of the old Finnish symbolical character.
The Vuokko long blue dress is a vintage model from the 60’s.
The Lapland drum and the jewelry are handmade by Tinttu and the reindeer skin is from Lapland as well.
Thanks to Clarion Hotel Helsinki Airport for the collaboration. The photo was shot in the suite room 806.
This is the first shot we took. This project will be continued.
